Simple Chicken Salad Recipe
Today I’m going to share my simple chicken salad recipe. It’s great for picnics, beach trips, or even just a regular lunch.

- 2 cups shredded chicken
- ½ cup mayo
- ½ cup diced apples
- ¼ cup sweet relish
- 1 celery stalk
- ¼ walnuts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Place 1 to 2 chicken breasts in a saucepan and cover with water, then place on a high heat.
Once the chicken begins to bubble, lower the heat to medium-low. Simmer the chicken for 20-30 minutes until cooked all the way through.
While the chicken is cooking, dice your apples, celery, and walnuts.
When the chicken is done, allow it to cool and then shred it to the size of your preference.
Place shredded chicken in a mixing bowl. Add celery, apples, and walnuts and then toss them together.
Add the mayo and pickle relish. Season with salt and pepper. Thoroughly mix the ingredients.
